THE OLD HUNTER’S RYE RESERVE WINS
THE NEW OLD HUNTER’S RYE RESERVE BOTTLE WINS THE PACKIGING OF THE YEAR COMPETITION FOR 2019
Old Hunter’s Rye wins awards in whisky categories all over the world
In 2019, Old Hunter’s Rye, the leading brand of the oldest distillery in Europe, has been reaping one success after another at the most prestigious international competitions. The brand won its most recent award in Hong Kong at the China Wine and Spirits Awards with its Reserve variety. A hundred-member jury composed of the most important importers, distributors and traders in China awarded the gold medal in the whisky category. The brand also scores points in Europe. Our original Czech rye distillate came away from the international Warsaw Spirits Competition in Poland this October as the absolute winner with the double gold medal. On this occasion, the panel consisted of journalists and experts in the field. 2019´s series of successes began in May at the International Spirits Competition in Stuttgart, where our four-year Stará Myslivecká Rye Reserve took away the silver medal. This rye distillate can also boast a medal from the jubilee 50th edition of the renowned International Wine & Spirit Competition in London, United Kingdom, a country known for its whisky. The distillate was rated by more than 400 jury members from 30 of the world’s countries, including whisky experts, sellers of alcoholic drinks in shops and restaurants, and professional critics. We have also had success overseas. The eight-year Old Hunter’s Rye Single Barrel was rewarded with a silver medal at the Global Spirit Awards in Las Vegas. The competition is founded on the condition that the independent judges who evaluate each category must not have any links to the participating brands.
A Czech legend yet again proves its highest quality. Gold Medal from Spain!
The Prostějov Green Tree Distillery has shown its five-hundred-year experience at distilling with a classic Czech flourish with its Old Hunter’s Rye RESERVE at the international Catavinum World Wine & Spirits Competition. The distillery won a gold medal and was the only representative from the Czech Republic to receive an award.
The Green Tree Distillery won a gold medal against strong international competition with its traditional Czech Old Hunter’s Rye RESERVE. “Last year it was gold from Poland and China and thanks to this medal from Spain we can celebrate a gold hattrick this year. We follow the rule that adhering to the highest quality of our original Czech distillate pays off, and thanks to numerous awards, we are also backed up in this thinking by acclaimed international professionals of our field,” says Pavel Kadlec, the director of the Green Tree Distillery.
The experts especially appreciated the exceptionally delicate taste of ripe rye, which is complemented by a subtle hint of vanilla. And the after taste of Old Hunter’s Rye RESERVE is a pleasant aroma with a hint of orchard fruit.
